About Me!

OMWC!

(Old Man With Camera)

My name is Rick Garcia, I am a retired business owner. I was in  trucking for 30 years. I hated it! The only good thing about trucking was the view. Driving took me from California (home state) to New Mexico, my furthest stop(s). It was a golden opportunity for anyone who loves photography. I kept my camera by my side for every trip. There is a lot of “hurry up and wait” giving me plenty of time to play with settings and lighting functions. Lots of buttons on a digital camera takes some getting used too. So far, I know the on off switch!

About 5 years ago, my son wanted a tattoo. He was about 20, so we went to our first tattoo convention. I took along my little 3 megapixle Sony camera. We were amazed at the work and talent we found there. This is where we meet  Jennifer Schcichi of “The Mermaid’s Tale”. She gave my son his first tattoo and I, of course,  photographed the event. Since then, Jennifer became “our” tattoo artist and we became good friends. We began working the conventions with Jenn, which gave me an excuse to keep taking photos. In the last few years I covered  all the conventions in Souther California, then Arizona and Nevada. I went from fan to event photographer with a few of my photos published in Pain Magazine.

From tattoos to shooting bands in Hollywood (Rock City News) to the beautiful freedom of the fetish world, body painting with “Battledress Body and Paint” (Air Brush Magazine) and now the porn industry.

XBIZ Magazine, AVN.

I’m sure you’ve noticed that I’m a better photographer than a writer! (I know)
